What is copyright and why is it important for our photos?
Copyright is when a certain piece of media is created by a person and then stops it from being stolen: Intellectual property (ideas). Gaining permission for any content you watt to use that is not yours.
Release and Consent forms
The person or owner giving you permission to take photos of them or the possession (buildings) and use the image in anyway you see fit, in the form there will be the description of what the photographer wants to do (I agree for... to take), print name and signature. One thing that could effect taking photos in public places are children. Not allowed to use a telephoto lens in public as you can take photos of people without them knowing. Be careful if you're taking photos of brands due to copyright.
Legal and Ethical
We need to be conscious of representations because it might be a negative representation of someone when they don't want it to look like that. We can misrepresent people, companies, religion, ethnicity and abilities. Don't want to discriminate. Misrepresenting (negative) a model can be defamatory.
